An external staircase part-built on the shop floor in Bradford, photographed before it went out for galvanising. Stringers cut and welded, treads set out, the flight standing on its own.
We include this one deliberately. Everything we sell is made here — this is the actual workshop, and this is what a staircase looks like a few days before it is installed. A lot of metalwork sold in the UK is bought in, badged up and fitted by a sub-contractor who has never spoken to the customer. We fabricate our own, and the people who weld it are generally the people who fit it.
What happens next
From here the flight goes for hot dip galvanising, comes back, and is installed on site. Typical turnaround from approved drawing to installed staircase is two to three weeks, depending on the galvanisers.
