Who we are
J R Fabrications Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a steel fabrication business based at Unit 11, Denholme Business Centre, Halifax Road, Denholme, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD13 4EN. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
If you have any question about this notice or about how we handle your information, contact us on 01535 523096 or by email using the address on our contact page.
What we collect, and why
We collect personal information in a small number of situations:
- When you send an enquiry through this website. We collect your name, email address, and — if you choose to provide them — your phone number, postcode, a description of the work you need, and any photographs or documents you attach. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and to quote for the work.
- When you contact us by phone or email. We keep a record of the correspondence so we can deal with your enquiry and any subsequent work.
- When you become a customer. We keep the information necessary to carry out the work, invoice you and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not buy personal data from third parties, we do not sell your information to anybody, and we do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Our lawful basis
For responding to enquiries and providing quotations we rely on legitimate interests — you have approached us about work and it is in both of our interests that we reply. For carrying out work you have instructed we rely on performance of a contract. For retaining invoices and accounting records we rely on legal obligation.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, so that we can pick up the thread if you come back to us. Records relating to completed work, including invoices, are kept for seven years to meet HMRC requirements. Photographs you send us are deleted with the enquiry unless the work goes ahead.
We may use photographs of completed work on this website and on our social media. If your job is a private residence we will ask you first, and we do not publish addresses.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or trade personal information. We share it only where necessary:
- With our web hosting provider, who stores the website and its enquiry records on our behalf
- With our email provider, through which enquiries reach us
- With our accountant, for invoicing and statutory accounts
- Where we are legally required to do so
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; to have inaccurate information corrected; to ask us to delete information we no longer need; to object to or restrict our processing of it; and to receive it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiry records are held in the website’s database, which is access-controlled, and are also delivered to our email. We restrict access to personal information to those who need it to do their job.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
