Floating Staircases
Unit 11, Denholme Business Centre, Halifax Road, Denholme, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD13 4EN
Floating oak treads running up a hallway wall, with no balustrade on the open side and no visible means of support. A clean, quiet installation that does a lot of work in a narrow space.
Hallways are where cantilever stairs earn their keep. A conventional closed staircase with a full string and spandrel eats floor area and blocks light. Removing the risers and hiding the structure gives you the same rise in the same footprint while letting light straight through.
The steel has to go into the wall before it is boarded and skimmed. If you are extending, converting or re-plastering, that is the moment to talk to us. Retro-fitting into a finished wall means opening it up again.
