One of our fabricators finishing a steel railing with ball finials, photographed in the workshop mid-weld.
We have included this because it is the part of the process customers never see and the part that determines everything. The finish, the fit and the working life of a piece of metalwork are all decided at this bench, not in the showroom.
Made and fitted by the same team
The person welding this railing is the kind of person who will be on site when it is installed. That continuity is deliberate. When fabrication and installation are split between a manufacturer and a sub-contractor, anything that does not fit becomes somebody else’s problem. Here there is nobody else to hand it to.
