About this staircase
A steel mezzanine access staircase and landing in a warehouse unit, giving safe access to a new storage deck.
Mezzanine stairs get used constantly, often by people carrying boxes with both hands, and they are one of the first things an inspector looks at. Consistent rise and going matters more here than almost anywhere else — a single odd step at the top or bottom of a flight is the classic cause of trips in a workplace.
Built to the workplace regulations
Guarding on both open sides at the correct height, continuous handrails that extend beyond the top and bottom step, toe boards on the landing edge, and a non-slip tread finish appropriate to what is on the floor below. Everything was fabricated off site so the disruption in the unit was a single day.
